Ladies and gents, I got my second SPN vid done and it's another angst one. Yay! (Wow, I'm really disturbed, aren't I?) Now maybe I can start on the killer amount of schoolwork that I have to do (and am deeply perplexed about - see both icon and mood)...

Summary: He taught them to be heroes, forgetting to teach them how to save themselves... Supernatural AU vid. What if Sam and Dean died during the attack in "Shadow?" Now the memories (and hallucinations) of his sons are haunting John Winchester as his guilt grows. This tells a story within a story and is my attempt at emotive storytelling. Very angsty.
Vidder's Notes: Hope you enjoy it and some feedback (including constructive criticism) would be very (I'll give you cookies and/or my possible future children [not that I think you'd want them!] for it) much appreciated (just no flaming, please!)

I'm so glad you liked the song. I heard it for the first time a few months ago when I saw Les Mis and I could NOT get it out of my head. It kept running around in circles and screamed "Vid me! Vid me! *cough*Dean/Sam/John angst*cough*" :D I'm glad you liked the lyrical interpretation too because I really wanted to show that this isn't just a Dean&Sam vid (though I really glad the heroic points worked for you because they made me tear up a little too!) or a John vid - it's a full-on Winchester!boys vid full of that wacky Winchester family dynamic.

My favorite part was the ending as well when the music just pulled on the heartstrings all on its own. And the ending was an impromptu thing. I couldn't thing of all to end the vid and then I remembered that particular quote and I figured it would be that much more heartbreaking and poignant and just damnright FITTING if that's how it ended.

Oh John does "hurting" so prettily, just like those sons of his... *pets them all*

OMG AISLYNN! Those were my exact thoughts as I was vidding this! Especially during the "Home" scenes where John was playing with his wedding ring and remembering his sons. Oh, John!
