Speaking of Youtube, I found this as a comment on one my vids ("Gangstas Paradise").

I'm not even hurt by the comment (s)he left on the vid itself, but it makes me incredibly upset. If only for the fact that this made me realize what a sad and ignorant bunch of people live out there in the world. The fact that (s)he assumes I'm a man makes me shrug and say "whatever ... accidentally mistake...", but the fact that (s)he calls me gay when I stand up for myself (by simply asking him/her to be polite!)??? And in such a casual manner... Jesus Christ, what's wrong with you! So men that are actually respectful and ask to be respected and don't act like dicks are gay?!? Think again. 'Cause where I'm from, being polite is not gay, it's mature. It's what it means to be a decent human being and not a total scumbag!

It scares me that that's what people think of the world! Being cool and a hotshot means being a fuckin' jackass? And the person that left this comment is 19, according to his/her profile. That's my age. Now I'm not saying that I'm Miss Perfect because goodness knows, I'm not! But, really, act your age, buddy. Grow up, for goodness' sake. 

And also speaking of Youtube, the vid I posted up there the other day sucks in quality. And I'm pretty sure the music and scenes are out of sync a little bit. Youtube, you are a pain in my butt!

I promise I will download and watch you tomorrow. I couldn't make our meeting tonight due to conflicting schedules. See, Lost was moved to your timespot, and well, since it's a show both my brother and I watch, I kind of had to watch it with him. You should understand. You know, your show being about brotherly love and all that.

Anyway, Lost wasn't even that bad tonight. Much better than last week's. Promise to watch you soon, Dean&Sam(&Bobby).

As to that comment, well, sadly it's one of the drawbacks to this lovely Internet of ours. For all the good people on it, there are about ten times that many asshats, and they let you know it, frequently and at great length. All you can really do is shrug them off and ignore them.

I love how technically you really AREN'T arguing with me, so you can get away with it! :D I don't know, Steve. My patience is growing thin; I just want SOME answers (especially when we keep getting new questions but no solutions). Plus, the characters that they're focusing on (Jack, Ben, etc.) are not my favorites... *shrugs* But I liked this week's ep better so I'm holding onto hope! :)

I know. It's just ... if I knew these people in real life, I'd smack them upside the head until their eyes would cross. I just can't stand that kind of blatant ignorance. I didn't care that his didn't like the vid, but he didn't have to be an asshole about it. It's like no one taught them that being a human being means actually being RESPECTFUL once in a while...

Yeah, I did shrug it off and ignore him/her, which is why I didn't reply to the "you must be gay" comment. *eyeroll*

I win all my non-arguments that way. :-) Answers aren't really that much fun. Questions are a blast, 'cuz they lead to wild speculation. And that's so much fun!!! :-)

The thing is, if you knew these people in real life, they wouldn't say these things. Anonymity gives these evolutionary dead-ends a sense of courage that they wouldn't have otherwise. Hopefully, one day they'll grow out of it. But there will always be someone to fill the void.

There should be a test that allows people to use the internet. Sub-categories that include intelligence, respectfulness, and general awesomeness (:D).

Yeah, I know. A lot of LJ is completely fucked up but I try to stay away from a lot of that shit.

It just all kind of reminds me of Tara from "Buffy" when she says the Internet makes her sad and the spelling is bad! So true... ;)

Dude, at times like this I'm really hampered by my inability to cuss. 'Cause I would've cussed that idiot for sure! Not that it would do much good! I don't want to get a war of "You're stupid!" "No, you're stupidier!" going in the middle of your vid page! And seriously? If I were you I'd delete both comments 'cause who needs that staring you in the face every time you go to that page? ;) Ignoramus! And I would've called him that but I doubt he has the two brain cells it would take to rub together to look it up in a dictionary! Grrrrrr!

All you can try to do is just forget about it (easier said, right? ;) ). There are just SO many rude people out there and they feel like the Internet gives them the right to spread their hate wherever they want to! *thinks bad, BAD thoughts about them* Grrrrrr!!!!!

The only thing you can do with idiots like that is ignore them! Because no matter what you say, or how you say it, they come back with another reply, thinking they're right and total hot sh*t. It never matters what you say to people like this. Like I said, I didn't gave a damn that he didn't like the vid; he could've trampled it with his own two feet for all I care.
