So ... I have so many papers and finals in the next two weeks that it is truly ridiculous. That is why I've decided to waste time, instead.

Just watched Firefly's "Out of Gas" - truly marvelous. What a fantastic episode - flashbacks (yay!!!!) and a heartwrenching plot. Not to mention, phenomenal characters. I am really starting to love this show, which sucks because I know that it ends in a few episodes. I loved that the man at the end was talking up another ship, rather than Serenity. It's such a romantic notion that Mal fell in love with the ship, not because he was tricked into it by a salesman or because it was the best ship around, but because he saw freedom in it. It's so Pirates of the Caribbean - I love it! Gah, I need to be anaylzing things for school and papers, not a TV show! Too bad I can't wrap my brain around anything school-related!

(The score from this episode was absolutely poignant and beautiful. Anyone know where I could find it?)

So besides Firefly, I'm also in love with Mel Brook's Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Granted, it's a movie, but still. It's hilarious and Mel Brooks is just a damn genius. It didn't hurt that Cary Elwes (Robin Hood) was quite the looker in his day. And, hell, I want an Englishmen to seranade me, dammit!! Unforunately, he's completely lost his British accent now (I don't know that disappoints me so much, but it really does) and gained weight. But he's also really quite old now, so I guess it's okay...

Why yes, yes it is. Except for one brief utterance, by Marcel Marceau, the famous French mime. :-) It's actually quite a funny movie.
