I loved George/Rube as a daughter/father dynamic too! Those TV relationships are always so touching for me - same goes for Buffy/Giles. ♥
Yes, unfortunately, I did see the new DLM film. And I agree. UGH! Laura Harris was MADE for that role and no one else should've tried to usurp her position. The characters were just really written poorly in the movie. Terrible. :(
