*whimpers*

Oh man, oh man...

I was so close to finishing a vid with Vegas when it loses my file!

Luckily, I had a backup .avi turned .wmv copy of it. But now Vegas completely fucks up and freezes and crashes with it! When I tried to play the vid from the start in Vegas, the end result is just the first pic, then blackness, with audio. And it renders the same way. What the fuck is going on!!! I can start this vid from scratch again. I don't have time or patience!

EDITED TO ADD: Now I don't even have my back-up anymore since I fucked it up with that stupid FourCC Changer! All I have is a sloppy back-up!

*cries*

Okay, I quit.

RE-EDITED TO ADD: What really pisses me off is that the vid wasn't even for me! I wanted to do it as an unspoken favor for someone.

Oh God. Please let me wake up tomorrow morning and find out that Vegas is cooperating enough (that means playing the video and audio without dying) so I can manage to salvage what I have and finish this thing.

*prays*

*sobs*

*goes to bed*

Maria...you might hate on this idea, but what if you download from putfile the bit you sent me...plug it into a new project file, add the music you were using, split the music at the end of the clips on the video piece and delete the music that overlays the video and just work from there? The first half might not render as crisp as the second half, but, hey, its better than nothing at all after all your hard work, right? *snuggles* Maybe that'll work in an absolute bind?

Ooooor...is the project file a .veg? If it is, can you just upload the .veg and let me see if MY vegas will open it? If it does okay in mine, maybe you just need to uninstall vegas and reinstall? I have a crack for it if you need to do so...you'd just install the trial version (if you google "Sony Vegas 7 trial it'll pop right up in the search) and then apply my crack to it to get it rolling again.

Well, I stuck in the sloppy back-up. I couldn't fix it since it was too late. And the rest of the video was half made in Vegas (with the effects) and transported into WMM for rendering. It was a pain. But it's finished.

It's not as perfect as I with it would have been done entirely with Vegas but I don't know what's gotten into the damn thing. Hopefully, it was just this project that got whacky and the next one (if there'll be one) will be smoother.

Sending you the finished product through LVI if you want to check it out!
