Festivids 23-24 Requests!

Dear Festividder:

 

Thank you so much for making me a vid!! I would love it if you could lay on your creative juices on some of the following:

1. Brassic (TV): Just started this show and I love the "thieving screw-ups with hearts of gold" vibe. I really enjoy the comedy and the gang's hijinks, as well as the heartwarming stuff. Whatever you can make about this makeshift family would be lovely!
2. Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead + Hot Fuzz + The World's End): These movies are just amazing! I feel like every time I pick a favorite of the trilogy, another takes its place! Of course, I'd love a focus on the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost characters, but honestly, fun ensemble videos showing parallels and whatnot are fun too.
3. Dead Like Me (TV): I will never not love this series. I will take anything, whether it's a humorous vid, ensemble vid, or character study (Mason is my favorite --- oh, my Callum Blue crush had no bounds for this then teen --- but I truly love each of the reapers). Honestly, anything will do here because this show was so poignant and wonderful. My only request - no George/Mason shipper vids. I always saw them as siblings and much preferred the dynamic between Daisy/Mason.
4. Father Ted: OMG, now I know why this series is considered such a classic! It's so irrelevant and funny! Dougal is adorable, but Ted is also fantastic. Just all around hilarious so highlights of the characters' shenanigans would be fun!!
5. Flight of the Conchords (TV 2007): Gosh, I loved this show back in the day! Bret and Jemaine were so adorkable and of course their songs were great. A cutesy vid showcasing those two in their adorkable element would work well here!
6. Ghosts (TV 2019): Just a wonderfully endearing and heartwarming show with an amazing set of actors and characters! Would love an ensemble piece that focuses on the silliness, while hitting the family-esque feels of the show!
7. The IT Crowd (TV UK): This show is outrageous and often cringey, and I still laugh and love it every time! Maurice Moss is my favorite, but Roy & Moss are excellent bros and the cast as a whole works so well off each other! Much like Father Ted, anything highlighting the characters or their craziness would be great!
8. Peep Show (2003 TV): This is a show whose comedy really sunk in as I kept watching. The dialogue (and inner monologue) is incredibly clever and probably my favorite part, but that's probably hard to capture. I like all of the characters, but Jez has this endearing naivety about him, even when he's a complete ass (which is often). Also, despite it being a comedy, I do think it'd interesting (albeit maybe challenging) to highlight some of the sincere moments in a vid.
9. Seinfeld: OMG, anything, honestly! I grew up watching this show so any fun hijinks video would be amazing!
10. Snatch (2000): Gosh, this movie is a riot! The gritty, dark comedy is so well-done and balanced with genuine moments of tension. Would love to see anything about this - whether it's focusing on the humor, the intriguing characters, or the action-packed boxing!
