60 Lost Icons (Ep. 3x04)
Posting 60 Lost icons from the episode "Every Man For Himself." Mostly Sawyer, as it was a Sawyer-centric episode, but really there's icons of every character.
-Screencaps taken from www.lost-media.com
-Comments would be amazing! I've tried new techniques with these icons so I'd like to see what you think of them. Plus, I'm always looking for feedback, especially if it's positive or constructively critical.
-If taking any and using, please leave a comment and credit me: turquoisetumult.
-WARNING: Cursing in one icon. Better to be safe, than sorry!
-Resources are in my userinfo. If you recognize any of these textures/brushes as yours, let me know and I'll update my work-in-progress list!

1. it is used to draw the eye to a specific place on the icon
I wanted people to take more notice of the text than jack in this
2. to fix, help manips, or blend
Brushes should have purpose--
you did an excellent job in this icon-the color really adds to the overall comp, and kind of makes it more dramatic-like Juliet's feelings in the icon-how desperate she is.
in contrast to that you may want to watch using brushes just to use them. Here the brush doesn't seem to have a purpose--if the image of Sawyer was a smaller part of the overall icon you could get away with it-and it could add something beautiful to the piece
you did a great job of here as well.
Text..I hate it..I have some people tell me it's completely overboard on my icons--some don't think i use it enough or i use too much of it. I feel you do a pretty good job of knowing what text to add and where to place it--
this is very creative-i love it.
cute!
The only adice on the text front is download more fonts-try and find ones no one else is using...maybe find fonts that fit the mood of the icon itself.
excellent example of your creativity--loved the use of two different fonts.

I was taking notes on what all Laura was saying (LAURA!!! *waves like an idiot* :D ) until it dawned on me: wow, I really suck at the "theory" behind graphics, lol! Oh well, I only make icons that amuse myself so that I won't travel around the Internet "naked," anyway. ;)
*pets all the pretty icons once more* ;) I really do like these! Great job! *hugs*
