I love the color and composition of #1, but you may want to make sure "constrain proportions," is selected when you change the size of images--the right side of the icon looks like that may have been unchecked..Love the manip in 5. I really like what you'v e done on 11, 12, 26, & 58. Love the textures/brushwork on those. I use brushes for two reasons only--
1. it is used to draw the eye to a specific place on the icon
I wanted people to take more notice of the text than jack in this
2. to fix, help manips, or blend
like in this.

Brushes should have purpose--

you did an excellent job in this icon-the color really adds to the overall comp, and kind of makes it more dramatic-like Juliet's feelings in the icon-how desperate she is.

in contrast to that you may want to watch using brushes just to use them. Here the brush doesn't seem to have a purpose--if the image of Sawyer was a smaller part of the overall icon you could get away with it-and it could add something beautiful to the piece

Here I'm kind of doing the samething you did, but i made sure there was some negative space to fill-over jack's right shoulder.

you did a great job of here as well.

Text..I hate it..I have some people tell me it's completely overboard on my icons--some don't think i use it enough or i use too much of it. I feel you do a pretty good job of knowing what text to add and where to place it--

this is very creative-i love it.

cute!

The only adice on the text front is download more fonts-try and find ones no one else is using...maybe find fonts that fit the mood of the icon itself.

excellent example of your creativity--loved the use of two different fonts.
