I'm glad you got what you were fishing for. I wasn't exactly sure that that's what you wanted, but I figured these 19th century guys can't just be ok with all the change in the world. That's precisely why they ignored it and stuck to what they knew and trusted (each other) even if they didn't quite get along 100% like before. (I also, unashamedly, wanted to explore their brotherly love - more so from Damon's perspective because we RARELY get that on the show. So I hope that worked too.)
